With a league-leading six titles, Falcons are in many ways expected to set the pace on the domestic basketball scene.
With the league season still months away, Falcons showed a statement of intent by signing a new sponsorship deal with Pay TV giants Star Times.
The three-year renewable deal worth Shs250 million will see the pay TV company take over the naming rights of the club in a deal that will be reviewed depending on its success after the first season.
“The game is growing rapidly as shown by the qualification of our national teams, the Gazelles and Silverbacks to the Afro Basketball championships. As record champions we have always strived to be at the forefront of basketball’s growth,” Falcons’ Club Chairman, Friday Kagoro stated.
“The rate at which the game has grown over the last five years has convinced us it is worth rendering moral and financial support to take it to the next level,” Star Times Marketing Director, Aldrine Nsubuga added.
Falcons were ejected by UCU Canons after losing the quarterfinal series 2-1.
