UGANDA : Bottom sides seek to keep up with league pace

TODAY AT YMCA
W: Stormers vs. Crane High (1.30pm)
W: Sparks vs. UCU Canons (5.30pm)
M: UCU vs. Diamonds (3.30pm)
M: C. Rhino vs. N. Marines (7.30pm)
Most often than not, focus on the Airtel National Basketball is fixed on the top sides.
But with the bottom three sides, Charging Rhino playing against Nkumba Marines and Diamonds In The Sun up against UCU Canons, the focus today will be on teams in the lower half of the table.
Diamonds In The Sun, who have won once in their five outings thus far, 54-50 over Vegetarians will have the task of trying to upstage UCU Canons in the Men’s first game.
The university side have already lost twice in six games including a surprise 59-57 loss to Charging Rhino. The are also still smarting from their 68-74 loss to Falcons.
They are however unlikely to falter today if Ivan Rumanyika and Boniface Okello continue reducing the scoring burden on Sudi Ulanga.
The pair have made 13 and 15 points respectively in that game.
Rhinos, are meanwhile, unlikely to get a better chance of collecting their second victory of the season when they play 2006 champions Nkumba Marines. Marines are winless in five games and are struggling for numbers as they have not managed to field more than seven players for each game.
