KENYA : NBA to Relegate Three Teams in Every Zone From Next Year

Nairobi Basketball Association (NBA) will from next season relegate the bottom three teams in every zone in the men's category. However, an additional four new men's teams will be registered to make 10 teams and they will form the lower tier of the league for men. The top tier to be named Division One will be composed of 20 teams with 10 in each zone.The last two teams in every zone will be relegated to the lower tier and the top two teams in the lower tier will be promoted. The lower tier will be referred to as Division II. Elsewhere Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) will hold a Young Coaches Module 1 clinic next month.
Federation's first vice chairman George "Nyundo" Omondi said course will be conducted by FIBA-Africa coaches' instructor Ronnie Owino. "The aim of this clinic is to help coaches particularly those interested in the management of young teams to develop specific skills." The tacticians will also train players from mini-basket between age brackets of 8-12.
