KENYA : Eagle Wings vs KPA finals confirmed for this weekend

The second match of the best of three womens’ Basketball premier league play offs has been confirmed for this weekend Saturday 17th December in Nairobi at the Nyayo gymnasium. The match between archrivals Eagle Wings and KPA of Mombasa had twice been postponed to allow the 2010 champions take part in this year’s African Club championship in Nigeria.

KPA lost all her matches in the tournament and failed to progress to the semi finals but they are seeking to retain the Kenyan title they won last year with a second straight win over Eagle Wings.KPA won game one in Mombasa at the Makande hall
But this will not be an easy task owing to the fact that they will be playing away. KPA won the first match in Mombasa 53-46.
“We will not let them walk over us at home again, we are well prepared to make it one all and go to the final stretch in game three.” Said Janet Okoth of Eagle Wings.
During last year’s final, Eagle Wings won the first match in Mombasa but lost the second and third in Nairobi under their nose at home. If history is anything to by in this match, then there is no clear favorite though KPA stand a better chance especially after the exposure gained in Nigeria from the club championship.
