NIGERIA : DSTV Basketball League: Police Bombers humble Customs 74-60

Police Bombers basketball club of Lagos Saturday add to the woes of Nigeria Customs basketball club in an Atlantic conference pairing of the Nigeria Basketball Federation organized DSTV sponsored Nigeria premier league at the sports hall of the national stadium, Lagos.

The game which was beamed live to basketball audience in Africa and the Diaspora through Supersport-9 saw both sides tying the first quarter at 20 points apiece with the border boys as the Customs team is known rallying to a slim 16-16 points win in the second quarter to gain a 36-35 points advantage going into the break.

The Coach Mark Balogun tutored Police Bombers side charged back like wounded corps at the resumption of hostilities after the half-time break to open a big win in the third quarter by 26-04 points, efforts by the Coach Scott Nnaji Customs players to replied the Police team in the fourth quarter could only yield little results, though they won the fourth quarter by 20-13 points but it was too late as they lost the battle to pick a first win in the league by 74-60 points.

Bombers youthful centre, Adeyemi Makanjuola led his teammates with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steal and one block, Ajodoh Ugbade had a double double of 14 rebounds and 10 points while Adedapo Peters contributed 11 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals and 2 assist to his side victory which now gave them a 3-9 records.
