Sadolin Power defeated Uganda Christian University (UCU) Canons 75-62 Friday night to move second on the MTN-Fuba topflight league table while 2005 women champions A-1 Challenge maintained their 13-match unbeaten run with a 105-33 thrashing of Amazon Rhino.

Despite missing big figures Isaac Afidra and Julius Wapera, Power got off to an impressive start to end first quarter with a 31-17 commanding lead.
With Ben Komakech (21 points) calling the plays and finding little trouble in dealing with his opposite Ivan Enabu, Power went into recess ahead 52-28 and the panicky Canons looked to have run out of ideas.
But Sam Lukaire (11) and Geoffrey Omondi (11) orchestrated a comeback that saw Canons cut the lead to six points with only two minutes to end third quarter.
Power’s impressive centre player David Kiberu had been rested after amassing four fouls, giving Canons a chance to dominate the boards. But Joseph Ikong (14), Mark Enabu (9) and their Power teammates recomposed themselves, winning the fourth and last session 23-18.
