Newcomers Blazers beat African Nazarene University 67-56 in their return leg tie to snatch the 2008 men's basketball Division One league leadership at the Nairobi's Nyayo Stadium on Saturday.

The victory saw Blazers dislodge the unbeaten Posta from the top spot with 24 points. The two teams had tied in first position on 22 points although Posta have remained unbeaten in 11 outings.
However, the lead was expected to be short lived since Posta was taking on Lomboritz on Sunday in a tie they were favourites to win.
Blazers, who joined the top competition from the Nairobi Basketball Association league, had little problems is sorting out the varsity students.
Blazers raced a 32-22 half-time lead. It was Glen Simwa who scored game-high 14 points for the winners with team-mate KenKeya adding 12.
Lomboritz enhanced their chances of making the four top teams for the play-offs when they defeated Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology 75-59.
Dennis Chutte was responsible for Lomboritz's victory as he sunk a record of 21 points. Peter Omondi managed 16 for the students.
The win saw Lomboritz occupy the second position on the nine-team table standings with 21 points. They have played 12 matches, won nine and lost three.
