NIGERIA : LSSBA set for 4th City league

The 4th edition of the Lagos City Basketball League gets underway with an all inclusive stakeholders meeting slated for the Rowe Park Sports Centre, Lagos to discuss the modality for this year's league.

The stakeholders meeting involving members of the Lagos State Basketball Association, LSBBA, organizers of the league, club owners or their representatives, representative of the Lagos State referee council and the media is fixed for Wednesday, February 13.

According to the City league secretary, Olusegun Ikuesan, the association will retains the twelve team format for the men teams and four for the women as other details regarding the league which saw teams playing a minimum of 22 matches last year will be ironed out at the meeting.

Ikuesan, a journalist cum basketball administrator says the Babs Ogunade led LSBBA is prepared to do everything possible to give teams in Lagos State a worthy league that they will be proud of.

The City league is design to compliment the country flagship league - The Premier League organized by the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF and to give opportunity to teams who are not in the premier league.
