NIGERIA : Ivy league - AIS, ST' Gregory in winning ways

American International School Lagos last week recorded a 33-29 point's win over Dowen College in the Ivy League for Private Secondary Schools in Lagos State and its metropolis on home court.

The boys from the AIS will battle their Greensprings counterpart Wednesday while their girls will also square up against the Greensprings girls same day.

Also last week the Edwin Jerry coached St' Gregory boys defeated Bailey Vidal tutored ADRAO International School boys by 34-20 points.

St' Gregory again brightened their chances of a quarter-final ticket with a 20-16 points win over Lebanese Community School.

Corona School defeated Chrisland College by 30-20 points; Nigeria Turkish School also had the better of the boys from Chrisland with a narrow win of 27-26 points.

Other results in the girls' category saw Holy Child College in double victories over ADRAO International (20-10) and Lebanese Community School (15-09) while Corona School defeated Chrisland by 22-14 points.

Two matches will be decided Tuesday with both games holding at Greensprings home court as Indian Language School came calling with their boys and girls teams searching for valuable points to brighten their chances of making it to the knock-out stages of the league.

And on Wednesday University of Lagos International School will be at home to visiting Belina College; Avi-Cenna International School will host Indian Language School while Corona and Nigeria Turkish School will do battle at the Agbara home court of the Corona School.

The last pairing on Wednesday will be the tie between Chrisland College and Ronik Comprehensive High School.
