The Kenya Ports Authority men and women's basketball teams resume their quest for national titles when the final play-offs move to Mombasa this weekend.

The men's team will be going for the national Division One league title while the women's team targets the national Classic league crown.

The KPA men's team faces Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology while the women face Eagles Wings in the National Classic league in second round matches programmed for Saturday at 4pm and 2pm respectively.

Should any of them lose the second game, then the teams will play on Sunday in game three to determine which team qualifies for the play-off finals.

KPA women start favourites against Eagles Wings, whom they have beaten three time this year. They lost to the same team Telkom in the final of the league last year.

KPA beat Eagles Wings in the first match of the play-offs semi finals in Nairobi last weekend 47-46.

Eagles Wings will have in their line-up Shimba Hills Secondary School girl Salma Akinyi Garang.

Other Eagles Wings players, coached by national team coach Smarts Olumbo, are captain Caroline Achieng Majeng, Eunice Ouma, Rebbeca Serange, Judy Juma, Pamela Asige,Pamela Ikonga, and Joyce Makhungu among others.

KPA women have shown great form in their recent matches and will not be prepared to let it go and should rely on on-form Miriam Awuor, Agnes Anyango, Mwajuma Suleiman, Caroline Mureji, Yvonne Akinyi, Evelyne Akoth , Fadaya Mohammed , Irene Murambi and Mercy Malemba among others.

KPA women on the other hand have beaten JKUAT twice and lost to the same team once making the match tricky.

They will however be cushioned by the four points win they registered in Nairobi in last weekend after beating the same team by six points in the return leg of the preliminary rounds in Mombasa.
