UGANDA : Vegetarians' Slim Chance for Play-Offs

VEGETARIANS captain Michael Oling believes his team is better than Knight Riders and that success is will come their way when they meet for game two of the MTN Basketball League semi-final play-offs today at YMCA basketball court in Wandegeya.

Oling, who blamed their first loss on poor hoops at Lugogo Indoor Stadium told Daily Monitor that YMCA is like their home ground and that Riders must go down.
The Entebbe-based Riders easily made it past Vegetarians 66-47 and they will snatch a place in the final with a win today. However Oling has warned that despite his team's slim chance Riders should not celebrate yet.The winner between the two faces either UCU Mukono or Makerere Youth Heaters in the best of five finals beginning on 25th October. The two finalists will all be promoted to Yellow Max Conference.

With star guards Evans Enabu and Collins Mukiza, Riders look the better side but must contain Oling and his backcourt partner Victor Mwesigye in today's game.

In second division, Crane High School takes a 1-0 advantage in game two of the series against Lubiri High School. Action in the top division resumes tomorrow with defending women's champions A-1 Challenge facing a tough test against KCC Leopards, Warriors take on Power at YMCA. KCC Leopards and Power won their first games.
