DEFENDING champions Nkumba University Marines and last season's losing finalists Sadolin Power snatched places in the MTN Basketball League play-offs after defeating Kyambogo Warriors and Falcons respectively over the weekend.
Eric Malinga's game high 19 points were not enough to give record winners-Falcons victory over Sadolin Power. Sam Obol had 11 points, Henry Malinga 5 but could not save Falcons from the 51-56 loss. Mark Enabu grabbed 18 points while Michael Karuiki marked his return to the Power team with 16 points.

It was Falcons' second loss of the season but they still retain top spot with 32 points, Warriors remained second even after falling to Marines. A-1 Challenge and MAK Cubs won the women’s matches.
