NIGERIA : Ahead World Junior Championship - Give Us Exposure, Players Tell NBBF

Still basking in the euphoria of their victory at the just concluded 15th FIBA U-18 championship held in Durban, South Africa, Nigeria's Junior Tigers have called on the Nigeria Basketball Federation to organize friendly matches for the team ahead next year's FIBA Junior World Championship in Canada.

According to the players good preparation remains the only antidote to the team's quest for a meaningful outing at the world championship.

Ebun Comets point guard, Oseer Ikyaator noted that with good preparation and exposure, the team will be a side to beat in Canada.

"We have the players in leagues across Europe and at the home front, the only barrier to a better outing at the world Championship in Canada good be late preparation.

"I will suggest that the federation should keep tab on some of the players who have done the country proud at the African Championship and give us early preparation ahead of the World Championship. We need friendly matches and better exposure to storm the world stage in Canada" the 6'3 player said who captained the Nigeria team said.
