UGANDA : Rhino Face KIU

WITH only a few games to the end of the MTN basketball league preliminary games, some title hopefuls in the men's campaign are not yet sure if they will make it to the play-offs.

This is the same scenario between Kampala International University and Charging Rhino who last year were relegated to the stands as the best of three semi finals series were being played.

Today the two sides meet in a crucial encounter as the race heats up again. KIU's 82-57 win over Najja last week eased their relegation threats and instead paved way for their play-offs quest as they maintained seventh place at 17 points from 11 games, while Rhino are one place below the semi-finalists' line.

Isaac Afidra, Jef Mwaniki and Emma Baguma will lead the Kansanga based side, while sharp shooting guards Ronnie Kalule, Rodgers Sserunyigo and Mandy Juruni will be vital for the 1997 champions.

Women champions A-I Challenge face Crane High in the women's game today.

Men

KIU v Rhino
SPENA v UCU

Women

A-1 v Crane High
