Kabojja Secondary School and Kibuli SS are the new respective boys and girls national school's basketball champions after a one-week campaign at Ndejje SS.

Kabojja beat newcomers St. Mary's Boarding Secondary School - Kitende to clinch the title for the second time after their 2002 triumph.
Jimmy Enabu, who had 21 points in the semi-final win over surprise package Lubiri SS, notched 13 points, including a triple three pointer to win himself the Most Valuable Player (MVP) accolade.
New comers Kitende, playing for the first time in the championships, had Deng Gol post only 5 points.

The Wakiso district based sports powerhouse had eliminated hopefuls Lubiri High 38-24 and defending champions Kibuli SS 28-24 in the quarter and semi finals.

Kabojja meanwhile fought hard against Crane High 33-32 and Lubiri SS (48-38) at the same stages. Kibuli SS won the girls' title for the first time with a close 20-18 victory over Crane High School.

Kibuli took an 8-1 first quarter advantage and although Crane retaliated with a 6-1 third quarter threat, it was too late.
2005 champion with Nabisunsa and eventual Most Valuable Player (MVP) Kassim Hatima made 13 points and Agatha Bafuna got 4 for Kibuli while Diana Nakimuli (10) and Nalisor Kantungeko (4) were the top scorers for Kitintale based Crane High.

The tournament was organised by the National School’s Basketball Association (Nasba)
