KENYA : Pirates gets a win over Terrorist

The day was well with only league games in the capital Nairobi and four matches were on the card.The first game saw Lomboritz get there first win of the season beating Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology(JKUAT) Stray Cats 60-58 while leading at halftime 27-29.It was Antony Onyanyo 14pts and Samuel Kyalo 13pts that inspired the win for Lomboritz a self sponsored team while Rogers Kimutai and Alex Olaba gave 19pts a piece for the losers.In the second game of the day Strathmore University crashed Don Bosco 88-83 leading at the break 39-36.Don Bosco only managed to win the third qaurter 25-22 while lost the rest 10-12,26-27 and 22-38 with Ramadhani Almas(new signing from St.Austins Acamedy) pouring game high 28pts and teamate Paul Nyakinda 22pts while Kenneth Githinji and Edward Ratemo gve 20pts each.
In the only womens encounter Yana was the second team in the womens category to reach the century mark scores by beating Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology(JKUAT) 101-30 with Judith Akoth "Lulu" giving 19pts for the winners.
tIn the last game University of Nairobi Terrorist was hammered by fellow students Kenyatta University (K.U.Pirates) 64-57 with Pirates leading at the break 29-23.Terror only won the 1st and 3rd periods 16-14 and 19-13 and lost the 2nd and 4th periods 07-15 and 22-15.In the thrid quarter it was Rodney Genga of Terror who tied the scores at 42-42 after been fouled but missed the free throw to take the lead.In the last quarter with four minutes played Pirates too the lead to 10pts but Freddrick Magana and Roddney Genga reduced it to 3pts difference and till the two main players of Terror were fouled out thats when Pirates took charge and the game at will.The efforts of Rodney Genga 14pts and Freddrick Magana 13pts didn't help Terror to seal the win with which they have lost all there four games of the season with Pirates celebrating their first win with help of Griffins Ligare 19pts and Martin Obure 14pts which made coach Gitau Waringo a happy man of the day.
